The THREE’S PROGRAM at CELEBRATION PRESCHOOL is designed to provide each child with the opportunity to develop socially, intellectually and physically at his or her own pace.   Each child is given an opportunity to make a successful transition from home to a school environment, to learn how to engage in cooperative play and each child is given the opportunity to develop his or her decision making skills.  Our main focus during the three’s preschool year is SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.   We do introduce COLORS, NUMBERS (1-10),  SHAPES and LETTERS.  Our work in these areas is meant to be an introduction to concepts the children will continue to work on through-out primary school.  We truly believe that “play is the work of children”.  Our curriculum is a language rich one which provides children the opportunity to hear and engage in a great deal of expressive language.  The children experience this through music, story time, dramatic and creative play, and at snack time.  Hands on science experiments are done by the children to spark their interest in the world around them.  Much of our classroom play provides development of our fine motor skills through activities that include cutting, tearing, gluing, puzzles and building blocks.  Gross motor skills are developed during our daily opportunities to climb, jump and run either outside or inside in our “large muscle room”.  It is our goal in the three’s program to teach children that school is a fun and safe place and to give them the skills to navigate their day in a school environment.
